am here just to relay mr leong's intentions in splitting the class up for econs lessons next year. the rational behind this is to allow both classes to learn at their own pace. He will be teaching the weaker students whilst the other class will be (man)-handled by mdm fok(i think). However, due to the splitting of economics lessons there may(or most likely) result in our time tables being slightly more spaced out or longer, depending on how you see it. In other words, the economics tutorials may not be scheduled at the same time unlike maths. so that's the only drawback in my opinion. If you feel strongly against the splitting of economics classes then do sms me before say saturday 6pm. I'll then let mr leong know. --- FAQ Q: Will mr leong continue to be our CT? A: I actually dont know, but yes i think so.
Q: Why do we have to split classes up? A: Mr leong finds that some of us are unable to cope with the pace in economics lessons so he'd like to segregate the class according to their aptitude for economics. In this way, both classes will be, as i've mentioned, able to learn at their own comfortable pace.
Q: If i end up in the "weaker" class, does it mean i'm stupid? A: No silly! just study harder!
Q: Wont remaining at status quo allow the better generation of ideas and allow the 'weaker' student to learn from the better ones? A: Well, it doesnt seem to work out this way as i observed and i certainly think it'd be better having two classes. We can still exchange our ideas/scripts/notes even then. we're still a class. --- And lastly, as the CT rep of the class, i feel obliged to voice out my concern for the general slacking environment we have, unfortunately, came to cultivate (and i'm at fault too). I know you guys/girls can do it. ie, blur queen can anyhow whack and pass maths still! imagine if she put in a little effort into it (and perhaps stop cutting her own hair). in short, the year has passed, what's past is past. you and i know we've disappointed our teachers and all. just dont disappoint yourself and live to regret it (like i do now). like what ben toh says, he'll let mr leong see the "other" side of him next year. i hope its for the better. by the way, i'm not directing this to anyone in class. we fall as a class, we progress as a class, and we're all mutually interdependent [see application of economics! useful alright...] if we men1 xin3 zi4 wen4 (okay i dont even know whether this idiom exists), i'm sure you all will agree that we have shown so much disrespect to all out STs and Mr Leong has had to bear the brunt of these in the entire year. i just wish that next year we'll come back more mature. let's just bear this in mind okay! make yourself proud. and if you give up on yourself, no one else can help you. if you need someone to talk to or laugh or whatever, my phone's always switched on rain or shine.
